COURSE CURRICULUM

The Brunel MBA equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in leadership and management across diverse business contexts. Core modules provide a comprehensive understanding of operations management, corporate and business finance, competitive strategy, leadership and organisational management, international business, business economics, marketing, and project management. Operations Management introduces students to the principles of effective management in manufacturing and service settings, highlighting the strategic importance of operational functions and developing analytical skills for sound decision-making. Corporate and Competitive Strategy, Business Economics, and Marketing build the foundation for strategic thinking, market analysis, and value creation, while Leading People and Managing Organisations focuses on leadership, organisational behaviour, and team management. Students also complete a business project and professional portfolio to apply theoretical knowledge in practice. Pathway-specific modules allow for further specialization. For the Digital Innovation Management pathway, students focus on information systems, managing digital technology and innovation, and complete a related dissertation. Healthcare Management pathway students engage with healthcare policy and managing service operations and change, also completing a healthcare-focused dissertation. The General Management pathway includes an optional module, Managing for the Future, to enhance strategic and leadership capabilities. Overall, the program develops practical, analytical, and strategic skills essential for navigating complex, evolving business environments, supporting career progression, and preparing students to lead effectively in global organisations.
