COURSE CURRICULUM

The Sociology BSc at Brunel University provides a comprehensive study of social structures, cultural processes, and contemporary issues, equipping students with theoretical, methodological, and practical skills. In the first year, students are introduced to core concepts in culture, society, and sociology, including power, inequality, and digital media landscapes, while exploring global perspectives through modules such as Global London and Global Sociology. They develop foundational research skills and are encouraged to critically reflect on social structures and everyday life. In the second year, students advance their research abilities and deepen their understanding of social phenomena, covering topics such as digital culture, global communication, and the sociology of everyday life.
