COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business and Management BSc (Hons) at Brunel equips students with a comprehensive understanding of business operations, management principles, and the skills needed to navigate complex organisational environments. In the first year, students gain foundational knowledge in international business, accounting and financial management, management enquiry, information technology, organisational behaviour, and marketing, developing analytical, decision-making, and communication skills. The second year builds on this foundation with modules on digital marketing, human resource management, managing change and creativity, operations management, project management, and research methods, fostering practical and strategic thinking and preparing students for real-world business challenges. In the final year, students explore advanced topics including business ethics, environmental sustainability, governance, strategic management, and contemporary issues in management through research projects and critical appraisal exercises. Optional modules allow students to specialise in areas such as entrepreneurship, gender and organisations, innovation and knowledge management, and international marketing, enhancing their expertise and employability. The program emphasises global business perspectives, encourages practical application of theory, and develops leadership, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
