COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Cyber Security course requires students to complete a range of core modules totaling 180 credits, designed to provide both advanced technical expertise and strategic understanding of the field. The program covers Digital Forensics, where students develop skills in investigating and analysing digital evidence, and Advanced Ethical Hacking, which equips them with the techniques to identify and address vulnerabilities in systems. Research Methods and Project Management introduces the foundations for conducting academic and professional research, while Cyber-Physical Systems Security focuses on safeguarding interconnected physical and digital infrastructures. The module on Information Security Governance provides knowledge of policies, standards, and frameworks that underpin organisational security management. Applied Machine Learning explores the integration of AI in security, helping students understand how data-driven models can enhance threat detection and prevention. The program culminates in the Individual Dissertation Project, worth 60 credits, where students apply their learning to conduct an in-depth study or develop a practical solution to a real-world cyber security issue.
