COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Construction Project Management requires students to complete a set of core modules that build both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise in managing complex construction projects. The course covers Construction Law and Contract, giving students a detailed understanding of the legal frameworks, contract administration, and dispute resolution processes central to the industry. Sustainable Construction explores environmentally responsible approaches, focusing on balancing efficiency, resource management, and long-term impact. Project Management Methods introduces modern tools and techniques for planning, scheduling, and monitoring projects, ensuring effective delivery within time and budget constraints. Business Management develops essential skills in leadership, financial planning, and organisational strategy, preparing students to manage construction projects from a commercial perspective. Integrated Project Delivery focuses on collaborative approaches that encourage teamwork and shared responsibility among stakeholders, while Innovation in Construction highlights the role of digitalisation, advanced materials, and new technologies in driving industry progress. Alongside these taught modules, students complete the Individual Master’s Project, a dissertation worth 60 credits, which allows them to research a specialist area of interest in depth and demonstrate independent critical thinking.
