COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Automotive Engineering course requires students to complete a set of core modules totaling 180 credits, designed to provide advanced technical expertise and practical skills for the modern automotive industry. Modules such as Advanced Powertrains and Control and Vehicle Control Systems focus on the technologies and methodologies used in the design and management of powertrains and intelligent control mechanisms within vehicles, preparing students to tackle the challenges of efficiency, performance, and sustainability. Advanced Systems Engineering and Advanced Dynamics allow learners to gain a deeper understanding of complex automotive systems and their dynamic behavior, while Control Engineering develops the skills needed to design and implement effective control strategies across different automotive applications. Research Methods equips students with essential knowledge in academic research design, data analysis, and evaluation techniques, laying the groundwork for the Individual Master’s Project. The 60-credit project enables students to apply their learning to a substantial piece of independent research, often linked to real-world industry challenges, giving them practical exposure and a chance to demonstrate their problem-solving and innovation skills. Together, these modules provide a comprehensive and advanced curriculum that develops highly skilled automotive engineers prepared for careers in engineering, research, or further study.
