COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Accounting and Finance degree is structured around a series of core modules that together provide 180 credits, ensuring students gain both specialist knowledge and practical expertise. The course begins with Advanced Management Accounting, which develops the ability to analyse financial data and support strategic decision-making. Project and Relationship Management builds key professional skills in managing teams, stakeholders, and complex projects, while Systems for Accountants introduces the technological and systems-based tools essential for modern financial practice. Strategic Management and Strategic Risk Management focus on equipping students with the ability to evaluate business environments, develop long-term strategies, and identify and mitigate financial and operational risks. Financial Strategy further enhances knowledge of capital investment, financing decisions, and the creation of shareholder value. The program culminates in the Integrated Case Study, a 60-credit module that brings together learning from across the course. This capstone project allows students to apply theory to practical, real-world scenarios, developing problem-solving and critical-thinking skills while demonstrating professional competence in accountancy and finance. Collectively, these modules ensure graduates are prepared for senior roles in accounting, finance, or management, while also supporting exemptions from CIMA exams and enhancing employability in the global financial sector.
