COURSE CURRICULUM

This postgraduate course in Business and Management Research is designed to provide students with essential research skills and knowledge in the field of business. The course begins with the Fundamentals of Business and Management Research, where students are introduced to various research approaches, emphasizing that the research method should align with the research question. Following this, the Business Literature Review module equips students with the ability to conduct a comprehensive and systematic review of academic literature, helping them understand how to access and critically analyze relevant scholarly sources. The Quantitative Business Research module develops students’ skills in conducting quantitative research, focusing on identifying the right variables and applying the appropriate techniques for meaningful data analysis. Alongside this, the Qualitative Business Research module introduces students to qualitative research methods, including designing research projects, collecting data, and analyzing findings. The final core module, Independent Study in Business and Management, is a major research project where students apply the skills they have learned throughout the course. This independent study allows students to explore a topic of their choice in depth, either academic or practice-based, integrating theory and practice. The project can also serve as a foundation for future doctoral research. Overall, the course is structured to ensure students gain a comprehensive understanding of business research methodologies, preparing them for roles in academia, business, government, or the third sector.
