COURSE CURRICULUM

The LLM International Business Law course requires students to complete a range of core and optional modules designed to develop advanced legal expertise in global commercial contexts. Core modules, totaling 140 credits, include Transnational Commercial Law, Advanced Skills, Cross-Border Dispute Resolution, and Corporate Law: A Comparative Approach, alongside a substantial dissertation or live project, or alternatively a placement, which provides practical, hands-on experience in a professional setting. These modules equip students with a thorough understanding of the legal frameworks and regulatory environments affecting international business, focusing on both theoretical knowledge and practical application. Students also select at least 40 credits from optional modules, allowing them to tailor their studies according to their interests and career goals. Options include International Intellectual Property Law, Corporate Finance Law, Comparative Competition Law, and Law and Legal Tech, covering emerging and specialized areas of international commercial law. Throughout the program, students develop critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and professional skills such as negotiation, advocacy, legal drafting, and ethical decision-making. The course prepares graduates to work effectively in law firms, multinational corporations, consultancy roles, or regulatory bodies, providing the skills needed to manage complex cross-border legal issues, ensure compliance, and support strategic business objectives in a rapidly evolving global market.
