COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Artificial Intelligence course is structured over three years, providing a comprehensive foundation and advanced expertise in AI technologies and applications. In the first year, students develop essential skills through core modules in Computer Systems, Mathematics for AI, Data Structures and Algorithms, Computer Programming, Innovation Project, and Introduction to Artificial Intelligence. These modules establish a strong understanding of computing fundamentals, programming, and basic AI concepts, preparing students for more advanced study. In the second year, the focus shifts to practical and specialized AI applications, with modules including Object Oriented Programming, Backend Web-Services Development and Database Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Management and Machine Learning Operations, Computer Vision, and Natural Language Processing. This stage emphasizes hands-on development, data management, and the implementation of AI techniques across different domains. The final year consolidates knowledge and fosters professional readiness, covering Deep Neural Networks and Ethics, Modern Datastores and Data Protection, Generative AI, Cloud Computing, and an Individual Honours Project. Students apply their skills to research or practical projects, developing advanced AI solutions while considering ethical and data protection issues.
