COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Business Psychology course combines the study of psychology with practical business skills to prepare students for dynamic professional environments. In the first year, students gain foundational knowledge in psychology, covering individual differences, research methods, and cognitive processes, alongside modules in business psychology, organizational behaviour, management, and design thinking, fostering both analytical and creative skills. The second year builds on this foundation with advanced psychological topics, including cognitive, developmental, biological, and social psychology, while emphasizing the application of psychological principles in business contexts. Students also develop expertise in human resource management, entrepreneurship, innovation, operations, and international business, with opportunities for work placements to gain practical experience. The final year focuses on advanced application and integration of knowledge, with a dissertation and modules on contemporary psychological science, workplace health and wellbeing, cross-cultural management, sustainability, leadership, organizational strategy, and strategic human resource management. Throughout the course, students cultivate research, analytical, and problem-solving skills while learning to apply psychological insights to organizational challenges. The program equips graduates to understand human behaviour in the workplace, design effective interventions, and contribute strategically to business success, while also providing a strong foundation for further postgraduate study or careers in management, human resources, consultancy, and other applied business psychology roles.
