COURSE CURRICULUM

The Politics, Philosophy, and Economics course offers a multidisciplinary approach, combining analytical, ethical, and practical skills across its three years. In the first year, students build a strong foundation with modules covering political theory, ethics, global economics, data management, and interdisciplinary thinking in the humanities. The second year deepens this knowledge with a focus on applied economics, British politics, political ideologies, and policy analysis, alongside modules in digital humanities, advocacy, leadership, and innovation, preparing students for professional engagement and collaborative work. A professional placement year allows students to gain real-world experience, applying their skills in practical settings. In the final year, students undertake a PPE final project and explore advanced topics, including economic issues, environmental and conservation politics, global power dynamics, and political journalism. Modules on leadership, management, gender, identity, and societal inequalities encourage critical reflection and practical application, while courses in philosophy, health, and Asian philosophies foster broader ethical and cultural understanding. Overall, the program equips students with the ability to analyze complex political, economic, and philosophical issues, communicate effectively, and engage thoughtfully with contemporary global challenges, combining academic rigor with practical experience to prepare for diverse careers in policy, research, advocacy, and leadership.
