COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Business and Management course is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of business principles while allowing opportunities to specialise and gain practical experience across various sectors. In the first year, core modules such as The Business Environment, Organisational Behaviour and Management, Economics and Globalisation, Managing Data, and Design Thinking for Enterprise introduce foundational concepts and develop analytical, problem-solving, and professional skills. Professional Practice ensures students begin to apply theory in practical contexts. In the second year, students expand their knowledge through modules including Creativity for Business, Innovation Management, The Marketing Business, Human Resource Management, Financial Accounting, Operations and Project Management, International Business, and Entrepreneurship. Additional modules allow exploration of niche areas such as Destination Management, Festival and Events Management, and Fashion Marketing and Management. The Professional Placement Year offers real-world experience, enhancing employability and industry insight. In the final year, students consolidate learning through advanced modules such as Business and Management Project, Economics Project, International Marketing, Strategic Human Resource Management, Enterprise: Creating Your Business, Organisational Strategy, Managing Sustainability, and Leadership and Management. Optional modules enable further specialisation in areas such as fashion, tourism, law, and freelancing.
