COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Business and Management (Accounting) course provides a comprehensive education in both core business practices and accounting principles, preparing students for careers across private, public, and charitable sectors or for entrepreneurship. In the first year, modules such as The Business Environment, Organisational Behaviour and Management, Economics and Globalisation, Managing Data, and Design Thinking for Enterprise introduce students to foundational business knowledge while Professional Practice develops practical skills and professional awareness. In the second year, students build on this foundation with modules including Creativity for Business, Innovation Management, The Marketing Business, Human Resource Management, Financial Accounting, Operations and Project Management, International Business, Entrepreneurship, and Applying Economics, along with optional modules in areas such as Destination Management, Festival and Events Management, Law for Business Enterprise, and Fashion Marketing. The Professional Placement Year provides practical, real-world experience, enhancing employability and industry insight. In the final year, advanced modules such as Business and Management Project, Economics Project, Management Accounting, International Marketing, Strategic Human Resource Management, Enterprise: Creating Your Business, Organisational Strategy, and Managing Sustainability allow students to consolidate their knowledge and demonstrate professional competency. Additional modules covering trends, cross-cultural management, leadership, and freelancing prepare graduates to operate effectively in a dynamic global business environment.
