COURSE CURRICULUM

This full-time postgraduate course in Public Health and Health Promotion is structured to provide a comprehensive foundation in key public health principles while allowing for focused specialization. Students are required to complete 180 credits, including a 60-credit dissertation module. They may choose between the standard dissertation (NHS-4233) or a bilingual dissertation (NHS-4333), both offering an opportunity for independent research and in-depth analysis on a relevant topic.The core curriculum consists of 100 credits and covers essential areas in public health. Modules include Principles and Practice of Public Health (NHS-4207), which introduces students to foundational concepts and applications in the field; Social and Behavioural Science (NHS-4004), which explores human behavior in health contexts; Health Economics (NHS-4003), which examines economic principles relevant to healthcare systems; Research Methods (NHS-4250), which equips students with essential skills in data analysis and study design; and Epidemiology (NHS-4005), focusing on patterns, causes, and effects of health and disease conditions in defined populations.In addition to the core modules, students must select one 20-credit optional module, allowing for some customization of the program. Options include Legal and Ethical Concepts (NHS-4238), Leadership in Context (NHS-4380), Best Practice and Behaviour Change (NHS-4382), and Global Health (NHS-4445). These modules support a deeper understanding of specialized areas in the field and complement the broader public health themes of the program.
