COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Psychology course includes a comprehensive structure designed to enhance both academic and professional competencies. Students must complete 180 credits in total, beginning with two compulsory core modules: the Research Project (60 credits), which spans the full term and allows students to undertake an independent and in-depth research investigation; and Research Methods Skills (20 credits), which develops key methodological and analytical competencies essential for psychological research. In addition to these, students choose 100 credits from a broad selection of optional modules, enabling them to tailor the course to suit their individual interests and career goals. Options include Practical Programming, Clinical Neuropsychology, Cognitive and Brain Research Methods, Professional Skills in Psychology, and topics related to child health, wellbeing, and development. Modules such as Modern Families and Global Early Childhood reflect the program’s interdisciplinary approach, linking psychology to education and social sciences. Advanced Research Methods, Learning and Rehabilitation, and Methods in Language and Bilingualism offer further academic depth. For those interested in neuroscience, the course provides neuroimaging modules, which are credit-weighted at 10 credits each. Students may select two from Intro to Neuroimaging Analysis, Advanced Neuroimaging Concepts, and Introduction to Neuroimaging. This modular structure, combined with expert-led teaching and a supportive learning environment, equips students with a versatile skill set applicable in a variety of professional contexts.
