COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Neuroimaging program is a 180-credit course designed to provide advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills in brain imaging and cognitive neuroscience. Core modules introduce students to the principles, methods, and applications of neuroimaging, beginning in Semester 1 with Introduction to Neuroimaging, Introductory Neuroimaging Analysis, and Advanced Neuroimaging Concepts, which together develop understanding of imaging techniques, data acquisition, and interpretation. In Semester 2, students progress to Advanced Neuroimaging Analysis, building higher-level analytical and computational skills, alongside Advanced Research Methods, which strengthens competence in research design, statistics, and scientific reporting. A major component of the program is the 60-credit Research Project, completed across the full academic year, allowing students to conduct independent research using neuroimaging data under academic supervision. In addition to core study, students select 60 credits from optional modules to tailor their degree to specific interests. These options include Clinical Neuropsychology 1 and 2, which focus on brain–behaviour relationships and clinical assessment, Learning and Rehabilitation, which explores cognitive recovery and neuroplasticity, and Methods in Cognitive and Brain Research, which provides broader methodological training in cognitive neuroscience. Overall, the program integrates imaging science, data analysis, clinical applications, and research practice, preparing graduates for careers in neuroscience research, clinical research settings, healthcare technology, or further doctoral study.
