COURSE CURRICULUM

The Accounting and Banking MSc consists of a combination of compulsory and optional modules designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and practical skills in the financial sector. Core modules include Accounting Theory, which develops a deep understanding of accounting principles and frameworks, and International Banking, which examines the structure and functioning of global financial institutions. Research Methods provides students with essential skills in academic inquiry, data analysis, and critical evaluation, while Financial Analysis focuses on interpreting financial statements and assessing organisational performance. Advanced Financial Reporting explores complex reporting standards and practices, and Bank Financial Management addresses financial decision-making, liquidity, and risk management within banking institutions. In addition to these core modules, students can choose two optional modules to tailor their learning according to specific career goals. Options include Corporate Risk Management, which covers the identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial risks, and Management Accounting, which focuses on internal financial decision-making and performance measurement.
