COURSE CURRICULUM

This course offers a comprehensive and balanced curriculum designed to develop advanced knowledge and practical skills in international business and management. Through the compulsory modules, students study marketing strategy to understand how organisations create competitive advantage in global markets, alongside international strategic management, which focuses on analysing complex global environments and making effective strategic decisions. The management research module develops critical research skills, enabling students to design, evaluate, and apply research to real-world business problems. Organisations and people explores leadership, organisational behaviour, and human resource management, highlighting how people and culture influence organisational performance. Finance for managers provides a strong foundation in financial analysis, budgeting, and decision-making, equipping students with the skills needed to manage resources effectively. In addition to the core modules, students choose three optional modules that allow them to tailor their learning to specific interests. These options include contemporary issues in management, which examines emerging global challenges and trends; consumers in a global and digital world, focusing on changing consumer behaviour across international markets; international marketing communication, which explores effective communication strategies across cultures; and global brand management, which analyses how brands are developed and managed on an international scale. Together, these modules provide a broad yet specialised understanding of modern global business practice.
