COURSE CURRICULUM

The Welsh History MA at Bangor University offers a structured program combining core and optional modules to provide comprehensive training in historical research and analysis. Compulsory modules include Themes and Issues in History, which develops an understanding of key theoretical debates and methods for interpreting the past, and Documents and Sources, which examines the range of historical evidence and the challenges of its interpretation, with students selecting either a focus on Medieval and Early Modern History or Modern History. The Research Skills module equips students with advanced techniques for initiating and conducting research projects, critically evaluating seminar papers, and developing skills that enhance employability.
