COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA Management for Climate Change program at Bangor University combines a core set of compulsory modules with optional choices to provide a comprehensive understanding of sustainable management and climate change issues. Compulsory modules include Organisations and People, International Strategic Management, and Finance for Managers, which develop essential leadership, strategic thinking, and financial skills for managing complex organisations. Climate Change and the Politics of Climate Justice and International Climate Change Law and Policy focus on the social, political, and legal dimensions of climate change, providing students with the tools to analyse and respond to global environmental challenges. Management Research equips students with the methodologies needed to undertake independent research, while the Dissertation or Applied Business Projects offer an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to practical, real-world issues. Optional modules allow students to tailor their learning and include Strategic Environmental Management, which explores sustainable business practices; Globalisation and Social Change, examining the wider societal implications of environmental policy; Business Planning for Green Economies, focusing on entrepreneurship and sustainable enterprise development; and Green Technologies, highlighting innovative solutions for energy and resource management. Through this combination of modules, students gain a robust understanding of how to integrate environmental sustainability into business strategy and decision-making, preparing them for leadership roles in organisations that aim to address climate change and promote sustainable practices globally.
