COURSE CURRICULUM

This MA Business and Marketing program offers a structured curriculum that combines core marketing expertise with broader business and management knowledge. Students complete 105 credits of compulsory modules that build a strong foundation in strategic and international marketing. In the first semester, students study marketing strategy, international strategic management, professional competence for marketing, and international marketing communication, developing skills in strategic planning, global business analysis, and effective communication across international markets. In the second semester, modules in international marketing, new venture creation, and management research strengthen understanding of global market operations, entrepreneurship, and research methods, enabling students to analyse market data and support evidence-based decision-making. In the final stage of the program, students complete a 60-credit applied business project or MA dissertation, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge to real organisational challenges or undertake in-depth academic research in a business or marketing-related area. In addition to the core curriculum, September start students choose one optional 15-credit module to tailor their studies to personal and career interests. Options include global brand management, organisations and people, English for international business, contemporary issues in management, and consumers in a global and digital world. Overall, the program develops strategic, analytical, and practical marketing skills required for professional roles in international marketing and business management.
