COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Business Management program provides a comprehensive understanding of how organisations operate, combining core management theory with practical business skills and ethical awareness. In Year 1, students develop essential foundations through compulsory modules in management and organisation, enterprise, strategic management accounting, and contemporary management issues including ethics, sustainability, human resource management, and tourism. They also tailor their learning by selecting optional modules in areas such as marketing, personal finance, employee lifecycle management, and introductory business analytics, enabling early exposure to functional business disciplines. Year 2 focuses on developing operational and managerial capability, with compulsory modules covering operations strategy, business information systems, management planning and coordination, and commercial awareness linked to the world of work. Students further enhance their expertise by choosing optional modules in business law, strategic management accounting, or marketing research and customer relationship management, supporting informed and data-driven decision-making. In Year 3, the program emphasises strategic leadership, innovation, and ethical business practice. Compulsory modules include business development within an ethical agenda, strategic management, and enterprise, creativity and innovation, encouraging students to address complex business challenges responsibly. Students then specialise through optional modules in marketing and society, international strategic marketing, or international business and global competency, preparing them for diverse management careers across sectors, or for progression into postgraduate study and professional development.
