COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Business Enterprise and Entrepreneurship is a three-year program designed to develop entrepreneurial thinking, management capability, and practical business skills for starting, managing, and growing enterprises. In Year 1, students build a strong foundation through compulsory modules in management and organisation, enterprise, strategic management accounting, and contemporary issues such as ethics, sustainability, HRM, and tourism. They also personalise their studies by choosing optional modules in areas such as marketing, digital marketing, personal finance, employee lifecycle management, and business analytics, allowing early exploration of commercial and analytical interests. Year 2 shifts the focus to applying entrepreneurial thinking within organisations and society, with compulsory modules covering operations strategy, commercial awareness, critical thinking in entrepreneurship, and social enterprise. Students then select a wide range of optional modules across marketing, leadership, information systems, law, consumer behaviour, and accounting systems, or approved modules from elsewhere in the University, enabling broad interdisciplinary development. In Year 3, the program emphasises advanced enterprise practice and global perspectives through compulsory modules in international entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial lifecycles, creativity and innovation, and a consultancy project that provides real-world problem-solving experience. Students further specialise by choosing optional modules in areas such as strategic management, international business, leadership and employee development, finance, branding, marketing strategy, and global economic issues, preparing them for careers as entrepreneurs, managers, consultants, or innovators in diverse business environments.
