COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Business Data Analytics program is a three-year degree designed to build strong foundations in management, analytics, and data-driven decision-making while progressively developing advanced technical and strategic skills. In Year 1, students complete core modules covering management and organisation, contemporary issues such as ethics, sustainability and HRM, business analytics coding, and database applications for business and finance. They also select a language-based analytics module and one optional module, such as economics or financial analysis, to broaden their understanding of business environments. Year 2 focuses on applying analytical skills within organisational and financial contexts, with compulsory modules in business information systems, commercial awareness, data science, data analytics infrastructure, and investment and portfolio management. Students also choose an optional module, including econometrics or operations strategy, allowing them to tailor their learning toward analytical or strategic interests. In Year 3, the emphasis shifts to advanced analysis and real-world application, with compulsory modules in strategic management, international business, applied machine learning, and a consultancy project that integrates academic knowledge with practical problem-solving. Students further specialise through optional modules such as FinTech, advanced econometrics, corporate governance, or financial derivatives, preparing them for careers in analytics, finance, consulting, and data-driven management.
