COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computer Systems Engineering program spans three years and offers a comprehensive blend of theory and practical experience in electronics, programming, circuit design, and engineering mathematics. In the first year, students gain foundational knowledge through modules such as Advanced Mathematics for Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Principles, Circuit Design, Computer Architecture, Imperative Programming, and Introduction to Embedded Systems. These modules introduce key concepts in both hardware and software, supported by lab sessions and assessments aimed at building essential problem-solving and technical skills.In the second year, the curriculum advances into core areas like Data Structures and Algorithms, Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) and Digital Circuits, and Analogue Circuit Design and Communications. Mathematical Methods and Linear Systems deepen the understanding of systems analysis and signal processing. Students also undertake a group project, choosing between Industrial Projects or Electronics Team Projects, where they apply their learning to real-world problems, develop team collaboration skills, and experience aspects of project planning and management.The third year focuses on specialization and professional readiness. Students complete a major Individual Project under supervision, enhancing independent research, critical thinking, and communication skills. Modules such as Research Methods and Quality Management prepare students for the professional environment, emphasizing employability and industry standards. Optional modules like Enterprise by Design and Summer Placement offer further opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and practical work experience. The program integrates theoretical learning with strong practical application, ensuring students graduate with a well-rounded understanding of computer systems engineering, ready to contribute to technological innovation in industries such as automotive, telecommunications, IoT, and smart systems.
