Bangor University's founding in 1885 was made possible in part by the generosity of local quarry workers in Gwynedd, Wales, a detail that still reflects the institution's community-rooted character. Today, it serves more than 10,000 students across campuses in Bangor, Menai Bridge, and Wrexham.
