COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Business and Management program is structured to provide a broad understanding of business while allowing students to specialise in areas that match their career interests. In the first year, students build a strong foundation in core business subjects such as introductory accounting, organisational behaviour, business law, marketing management, operations management, business analytics, information technology for business, and business economics. These modules help students understand how organisations operate and how different business functions work together. In the second year, students study key topics including virtual business management, business and society, and business strategy. They also choose a finance module and select additional modules from a wide range of areas such as accounting, business analytics, international business, business psychology, economics, information systems, law, marketing, and operations management. This flexible structure allows students to tailor their studies according to their interests. During the third year, students complete an integrated placement year where they gain valuable professional experience while being supported by the university’s careers and placements team. In the final year, students focus on applying their knowledge through modules such as management consultancy, implementing business decisions, or knowledge at work. They also select advanced optional modules from areas including strategic management, marketing, finance, human resource management, law, information systems, and operations management, allowing them to further specialise.
