COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Logistics with Supply Chain Management program at Aston University provides a comprehensive curriculum that develops students’ knowledge of logistics systems, transportation, and supply chain operations. In the first year, students build a strong foundation in business and supply chain principles through modules such as Study and Research Skills, Building Professional Relationships, Introduction to Supply Chain Management, Introduction to Business Management, Interdisciplinary Design Project, Power Skills, Introductory Programming for Engineering and Physical Sciences, and Transport and Engineering Economics. These modules introduce key concepts related to logistics, management, and analytical thinking. In the second year, students expand their understanding of supply chain operations and analytical tools by studying modules including Supply Chain Simulation Modelling, Supply Chain Analytics and Optimisation, Purchasing Principles for International Supply Chains, Relationships and Collaboration in the Supply Chain, Land Transport, Air and Maritime Transport, Operations and Process Management, and Facilities and Systems. These subjects focus on transportation systems, procurement strategies, and operational efficiency within global supply chains. In the final year, students study advanced topics such as Supply Chain and Procurement Strategy, Sustainable Supply Chains, Game-Based Simulation, Contemporary Developments in Supply Chains, Strategic Management and Finance in the Supply Chain, and Leadership and HRM. The program also includes a Final Year Research Project, allowing students to apply their knowledge to real-world logistics and supply chain challenges.
