COURSE CURRICULUM

This architecture course is rooted in the ethos of a shared, studio-based arts university where making is central to every discipline. This philosophy is carried throughout the curriculum by placing strong emphasis on drawing, model-making, and written texts as tools for architectural thinking and design. Students are encouraged to explore architecture as a narrative medium, responding to contemporary social, cultural, and environmental issues. Each unit offers the opportunity to develop personal architectural visions while ensuring these ideas are translated into practical, tangible design propositions. The course fosters a strong studio culture that is both professional and exploratory. In the final year, students undertake a self-directed Thesis Design project that merges research, collaboration, and making through a strong ecological lens. This concluding project is designed to prepare students for their next steps in professional practice or further study.
