COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Fashion Management and Strategy course provides a comprehensive foundation in managing and leading within the global fashion and lifestyle industries, with an emphasis on ethical, sustainable, and values-driven practice. In the first year, students develop essential knowledge and skills required for effective management, including analysis of the global fashion system, consumer behaviour, finance, and digital business landscapes. A strong focus is placed on critical thinking, encouraging students to evaluate fashion and business practices, addressing challenges such as fair pricing, transparency in value chains, and workplace equality. In the second year, students deepen their expertise by studying key industry areas including supply chain management, fashion merchandising, and range planning, applying their learning through live briefs that mirror commercial constraints. This year also incorporates career planning, helping students map professional pathways and prepare for future opportunities, including the option of a year-long industry placement to gain practical experience and expand professional networks. In the final year, students work independently on a major project, developing a self-directed proposal that could involve a live brief, a hypothetical project, or entrepreneurial initiatives. They refine their research and methodology skills, integrating knowledge and practice to address real-world challenges, demonstrating their ability to lead and innovate responsibly within the fashion and lifestyle sectors.
