COURSE CURRICULUM

This program equips students with a comprehensive understanding of core and advanced areas of cyber security, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application across key disciplines. Information Security Management develops skills in managing organisational security policies, risk assessment and compliance. Network Security focuses on protecting network infrastructures from threats, attacks and vulnerabilities. Secure System Design explores principles of building robust and resilient systems with security embedded from the outset. Offensive Security introduces ethical hacking techniques, penetration testing and proactive defence strategies to understand attacker behaviour. Cloud and Web Services Security covers safeguarding cloud environments and online platforms, addressing issues such as data protection, access control and secure service architecture. Digital Forensics and Incident Management trains students to investigate cyber incidents, analyse compromised systems, preserve evidence and coordinate effective response strategies. The Advanced Computing Project allows students to independently research, design and deliver a substantial security-focused project, applying the knowledge and technical skills gained throughout the course to a real-world problem or innovation. Together, these modules prepare graduates to confidently tackle modern cyber challenges, protect critical infrastructures, and contribute to secure digital environments across industries.
