COURSE CURRICULUM

The core modules of the Master of Public Health program provide a comprehensive foundation in key areas essential for modern public health practice. Research Methods develops the ability to design, conduct, and evaluate public health research, preparing students for evidence-based decision making. Contemporary Challenges in Public Health explores current global and local health issues, such as emerging diseases, health inequalities, and environmental health concerns, encouraging critical thinking and problem solving. Health Policy examines how policies are developed, implemented, and evaluated, helping students understand the impact of governance and legislation on health systems and population outcomes. Preventative Health and Promotion focuses on strategies to prevent illness, promote wellbeing, and support healthy lifestyles through education, intervention programs, and community initiatives. Epidemiology provides the knowledge to study disease patterns, causes, and control methods, enabling effective planning and response to health threats. Gender, Sexual and Reproductive Health addresses sensitive and vital issues relating to equality, rights, and access to healthcare services across different populations. Finally, the Research Project allows students to apply theoretical knowledge to an in-depth investigation of a public health issue, developing analytical, research, and practical skills.
