COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc International Business and Economics course at ARU is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the global business environment by integrating economics and international business principles. Students engage with six core modules that cover a broad spectrum of topics, including principles of economics, international trade policy, finance for decision making, international marketing and brand management, and contemporary issues in international management. These modules combine theoretical frameworks with practical applications, enabling students to critically evaluate management challenges and develop informed strategies from an international perspective. The program also emphasises financial, operational, and capital market decision-making, providing students with analytical tools to assess organisational performance and strategic opportunities. A key component of the course is the Postgraduate Major Project, which allows students to explore a specific topic in depth under academic supervision. This project encourages independent research, critical thinking, and the development of coherent, evidence-based solutions to complex business problems. Assessment throughout the course is varied and designed to enhance employability, encompassing written assignments, portfolios, presentations, and both group and individual work. By the end of the program, graduates gain a multidisciplinary skill set that prepares them for careers in international trade, business consultancy, financial management, and global marketing, as well as the ability to pursue further advanced study or research in the field.
