COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Crop Production course at ARU is designed to provide advanced knowledge and practical expertise in sustainable agricultural practices, preparing students to meet the demands of modern food production systems. The program is structured around a set of core modules and one optional module, giving students the opportunity to specialize in an area of interest before completing their dissertation. Core modules cover essential topics such as sustainable crop production, postharvest systems management, controlled environment agricultural systems, food security, and sustainable agriculture. Students also explore broader themes like sustainable global business management, circular economics, and applied research methods for managers, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of both scientific and managerial aspects of crop production. The course encourages critical thinking and problem-solving through assessments that include exams, lab reports, projects, presentations, and case studies, as well as problem-based learning scenarios. Optional modules, such as strategic management or sustainable land stewardship and leadership, allow students to tailor their studies to personal and professional goals. The culmination of the program is a research-based dissertation, enabling students to investigate a specialist area in depth.
