COURSE CURRICULUM

This program at ARU provides a strong blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience in manufacturing automation and robotics, preparing students for careers in advanced engineering and technology. The course is delivered through innovative learning environments, with a focus on laboratory activities, hands-on exercises, and the use of professional machines and devices in ARU’s dedicated Robotics lab. Students gain competencies in designing, building, and programming robotic systems from scratch while developing an understanding of industrial process control, dynamics, control systems, sensing technologies, and sensor fusion. Modules also explore robotics design and manufacturing, machine learning, computer vision, and sustainable engineering management systems, giving a comprehensive view of modern robotics applications. Assessment is varied and includes oral presentations, technical written reports, essays, team projects, coursework, and examinations, ensuring a balanced approach to measuring knowledge and practical ability. Students also take part in feasibility studies, simulations, and programming tasks, building problem-solving and team-working skills. A major project in the final semester encourages independent study, design application, and innovation, assessed through both a poster presentation and a detailed project report. The program concludes with an exit plan to help students reflect on their learning and prepare strong CVs for future employment opportunities.
