COURSE CURRICULUM

The Artificial Intelligence Masters course at ARU is designed to reflect the latest trends in the field and prepare students for careers in the IT industry and beyond. The program introduces key concepts such as semantic data technologies, equipping students with the ability to identify, interpret, and structure data according to its context. By learning to develop ontological models and create knowledge-based applications, students gain the skills to analyse data effectively and support informed decision-making. The course also places strong emphasis on machine learning, with two dedicated modules focusing on advanced methods and applications. Students will study how computers can be taught to act without explicit programming and explore neural computing and deep learning, applying these techniques to big data challenges in areas such as science, finance, and social studies. A major component of the course is the Postgraduate Major Project, which enables independent research into a chosen topic, allowing students to develop in-depth expertise. Assessment methods are varied and include exams, essays, research reports, oral presentations, and a final dissertation. Core modules cover semantic data, machine learning, neural computing, research methods, and the major project, ensuring a strong foundation in both theory and practical application of AI.
