COURSE CURRICULUM

The Accounting and Finance postgraduate program at ARU London is structured to provide advanced knowledge and practical skills essential for careers in finance, accounting, auditing, and investment. The course is assessed through a combination of assignments, presentations, and examinations, alongside an innovative Major Project or dissertation, which allows students to conduct detailed research, analysis, and reporting on a finance-related issue. Core modules include Postgraduate Study Skills, Research Methods, and Ethics, which equip students with the foundational skills needed for academic and professional success, and Corporate Reporting, Budgeting and Control, which focuses on preparing, analysing, and interpreting financial information for organisational decision-making. Students also study Corporate Finance and Valuations to gain insight into financial decision-making, investment appraisal, and company valuation, and Taxation, Audit and Assurance to understand regulatory compliance, auditing practices, and fiscal responsibilities. The Investment and Risk Management module provides an understanding of portfolio management, risk assessment, and investment strategies within a global financial context. The program culminates with a Postgraduate Major Project, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge to a real-world finance issue, demonstrating research proficiency, critical analysis, and reporting skills.
