COURSE CURRICULUM

This Law with Politics and International Relations LLB (Hons) program is designed to provide a strong foundation in core legal studies alongside a broad understanding of politics and global affairs. In Year 1, students study constitutional and administrative law, contract law and criminal law, while being introduced to key concepts in politics and international relations, including power, governance and global systems. Year 2 builds on this foundation with essential legal subjects such as tort law and equity, trusts and succession, supported by the Ruskin Module, which focuses on personal development and employability. Students also explore political and international topics including the role of the United States in the twentieth century, contemporary international relations, human rights and migration, encouraging critical engagement with global issues. In the final year, students study advanced legal subjects such as property law and EU law, alongside modules that examine diversity, equality, immigration law and the relationship between law and local government. Optional modules allow deeper exploration of global feminism, organised crime and comparative global criminal justice. The undergraduate major project enables independent research into a legal, political or international issue. Overall, the program equips graduates with strong legal knowledge, political awareness and analytical skills, preparing them for careers in law, diplomacy, international organisations, policy, NGOs, journalism and related fields.
