COURSE CURRICULUM

The Software Development degree at ARU provides students with a comprehensive understanding of designing, building, and maintaining software systems across multiple platforms. In the second year, the focus shifts to more advanced skills, including object-oriented programming, internet programming, algorithms and data structures, and collaborative team-based projects, alongside professional development and the Ruskin Module, which broadens intellectual and practical perspectives. The final year emphasizes cutting-edge and industry-relevant topics, such as developing legacy software systems, full stack software development, cloud platform development, and exploring emerging technologies, culminating in a major computing project that allows students to apply their accumulated knowledge to real-world problems. Throughout the course, students gain practical experience, develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and cultivate professional competencies that prepare them for a wide range of careers in software engineering, application development, systems analysis, database management, and cloud computing.
