COURSE CURRICULUM

The Human Resource Management course begins in Year 1 by building a foundation in key business and management principles, covering financial analysis, digital business, marketing, the global business environment, organisational behaviour, and the basics of business contracts and law. These modules provide the essential knowledge of how organisations operate and the legal and strategic contexts in which HR functions. In Year 2, the focus shifts to more specialised HR areas, including HRM for organisational performance and the practical use of business information in HR practice. Students also develop skills in project management and entrepreneurial practice, preparing them to handle both strategic and operational challenges. The Ruskin Module further enhances broader academic and professional competencies. In the final year, learning is advanced with modules on global HRM practice, reward management, leadership in a digital world, and employment law and relations, giving students a comprehensive understanding of HR in both domestic and international contexts. The program culminates in the Undergraduate Major Project, allowing students to apply their learning to an in-depth, real-world or research-based project. By the end of the degree, graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge to manage people effectively and contribute to organisational success.
