COURSE CURRICULUM

The Finance with Economics degree provides a structured pathway from foundational business and analytical skills to advanced financial and economic expertise. In Year 1, students develop core quantitative skills through Applied Economic Mathematics and Statistics, while gaining an understanding of the business environment, financial analysis, and global market dynamics. Modules on organisational behaviour and AI explore the future of work, alongside the Into ARU module for academic development. Year 2 builds on this foundation with Financial Management, Project Management, and Micro and Macro Economics, introducing students to the principles of econometrics for data analysis and economic modelling. In the final year, the focus shifts to advanced application, with modules in Applied Economics, Behavioural Economics, and Capital Markets and Investment, providing insight into investor behaviour, market operations, and strategic financial decision-making. The Undergraduate Major Project allows students to conduct independent research on a finance or economics topic, applying both theoretical and practical skills. Across all years, the course combines quantitative analysis, economic theory, and financial practice, preparing graduates for careers in banking, investment, corporate finance, economic consultancy, and policy-making, as well as for further academic or professional qualifications in finance and economics.
