COURSE CURRICULUM

The Cyber Security and Digital Forensics undergraduate program provides a comprehensive, hands-on approach to understanding and managing digital threats, cybercrime, and forensic investigations over three years. In the first year, students build a foundation in computing and networks through modules on system architecture, software principles, core mathematics for computing, cybercrime fundamentals, and network basics, while the Into ARU module supports academic integration and personal development. The second year focuses on advanced technical skills, including network routing and switching, principles of digital forensics, cloud computing, IoT, digital security, and advanced forensic techniques, complemented by the Ruskin Module to encourage critical thinking and interdisciplinary learning. In the final year, students specialize in areas such as digital forensics and malware science, ethical hacking and countermeasures, software security, mobile forensics, and security management, operations, and analytics. The program culminates in a final project, allowing students to apply their knowledge in a practical and research-driven context. Throughout the course, emphasis is placed on developing practical, industry-standard skills, analytical thinking, and ethical awareness, preparing graduates to tackle complex challenges in cyber security and digital forensics. By combining theoretical knowledge with applied learning, students are equipped for careers in cybercrime investigation, security management, forensic analysis, and other technology-driven roles within public and private sectors.
