This degree offers a structured pathway into business and events management, equipping students with essential skills for the global marketplace. In Year 1, the focus is on building a strong foundation in digital business, marketing, business operations, financial analysis, and understanding international market dynamics. Students also explore organisational behaviour, with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence and the future of work, while gaining introductory academic and professional skills through the Into ARU module. Year 2 develops specialist knowledge in events management, covering both the principles and detailed planning processes required for successful event delivery. The curriculum also supports entrepreneurial thinking through The Entrepreneurial Journey module and strengthens organisational skills via project management and implementation. The Ruskin Module further enriches learning through interdisciplinary study. In the final year, students examine sustainability and responsible business practices, along with advanced strategies for operating in international markets. A dedicated focus on sustainable events management prepares graduates for the evolving demands of the industry. The course culminates in the Undergraduate Major Project, where students apply their knowledge and skills to an independent research project, enhancing their professional capabilities and readiness for careers in business, events, and related sectors worldwide.
