COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Business Management and Tourism program is structured over three years to provide a comprehensive understanding of both business management and the tourism sector. In the first year, students develop a strong foundation in core business concepts through modules such as how to do business, principles of digital marketing, financial environment and analysis, international business and market dynamics, and organisational behaviour with a focus on artificial intelligence and the future of work. This prepares students with essential academic, analytical, and professional skills. The second year focuses on tourism management and applied business analytics, covering principles of tourism management, data analytics and AI in business, international operations and supply chain management, and the entrepreneurial journey, alongside the Ruskin Module for broader learning. In the final year, students deepen their sector-specific knowledge through modules on tourism and leisure experiences, sustainability and responsible business, and strategic management for experience sectors. The course culminates in an undergraduate major project, allowing students to apply theory to practical challenges within the tourism and hospitality industries. Throughout the program, emphasis is placed on critical thinking, problem solving, and professional development, equipping graduates with the practical experience, industry insight, and managerial skills necessary to pursue careers in tourism management, event planning, hospitality, destination marketing, or related business roles.
