COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business and Management degree provides a comprehensive foundation in core business disciplines while fostering skills in sustainability and entrepreneurship. In Year 1, students develop essential knowledge in financial analysis, digital business, marketing, global business strategy, organisational behaviour, and business law, preparing them for diverse business environments. Year 2 builds on this foundation with modules in entrepreneurial practice, project management, and specialised areas such as prototype testing, retail and services marketing, HR information systems, creative thinking, and consumer behaviour, enabling students to tailor their learning to their career goals. The Ruskin Module enhances critical thinking and broader academic skills. In the final year, students undertake the Undergraduate Major Project, applying their learning to real-world business challenges. Core topics include international business strategy, sustainable enterprise, and employment law, alongside optional modules such as marketing communications and reflective entrepreneurial practices. The program blends theory with practical application, encouraging innovation, problem-solving, and adaptability. By the end of the course, graduates possess strong analytical, strategic, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to operate ethically and sustainably in a global marketplace. This equips them for roles in management, consultancy, entrepreneurship, and various specialist fields within the business sector.
