COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Banking, Finance and Fintech degree is structured to build strong financial knowledge, analytical capability and digital skills across three years of study. In Year 1, students develop a solid foundation in accounting, finance and business, studying financial and management accounting with digital systems, financial environment and analysis, and international business and market dynamics. Modules such as organisational behaviour and AI introduce the future of work, while Elevate 1 and Into ARU support professional and academic development. Year 2 focuses on applying financial knowledge using data-driven and technological approaches. Students study applied fintech with data analytics and Python, quantitative methods for banking and finance, banking and financial institutions, and financial reporting, alongside the Ruskin Module to broaden ethical and social awareness. In Year 3, students advance to specialist topics including international financial reporting, financial investment analysis, and capital markets and investment, developing a deep understanding of global financial systems and decision-making. The Undergraduate Major Project allows students to conduct independent research on a finance or fintech-related topic, strengthening analytical, research and professional skills. Together, the program provides a strong blend of finance theory, fintech innovation and practical application, preparing graduates for careers in banking, finance, investment, financial analysis and related commercial sectors.
