COURSE CURRICULUM

The Electronic and Electrical Engineering degree provides a progressive learning path, combining theoretical knowledge with extensive practical experience. In Year 1, students build a strong foundation through modules such as Applied Engineering Mathematics, Introduction to Engineering, Embedded Systems, and Analogue and Digital Electronics. Practical learning is emphasised through the Manufacturing and Materials Project and the Mechatronic Design Project, alongside the Into ARU program. Year 2 advances technical expertise with the Electronic Design Project, Robotic Control Design Project, and modules including Electric Machines, Sensors and Actuators, Advanced Engineering Mathematics, and Signals and Signal Processing, complemented by the Ruskin Module. In Year 3, the focus shifts to complex, real-world applications, with the Electronic and Electrical System Design Project serving as a major component, allowing students to integrate and apply their knowledge to a substantial engineering challenge. Additional modules in Automation and Control, Power Engineering, and Research Methods and Individual Project further develop technical competence and problem-solving abilities. Across all stages, the course blends core engineering principles with emerging technologies, preparing graduates for careers in electronics, robotics, power systems, and related fields, equipped with both specialist skills and the ability to address industry challenges with innovative, sustainable solutions.
