COURSE CURRICULUM

The Digital Media Production undergraduate program offers a comprehensive, three-year pathway to develop creative, technical, and professional skills in digital content creation. In the first year, students build a strong foundation through modules such as fundamentals of digital media, a practical history of digital media, digital content creation, and introduction to user experience design, with the Into ARU module supporting academic integration and personal development. The second year focuses on developing practical and technical expertise, exploring critical issues and debates in digital media, immersive storytelling, photography post-production workflows, and motion graphics, alongside the Ruskin Module to encourage interdisciplinary thinking and research skills. Students gain hands-on experience with emerging technologies and creative techniques, preparing them for professional practice. In the final year, the program emphasizes advanced and specialized study through modules in digital media specialised practice, a major digital media project, a research project, and working in the creative industries. These modules allow students to consolidate their learning, engage with real-world creative challenges, and develop industry-ready portfolios. The program blends practical production skills, theoretical understanding, and professional development, equipping graduates to pursue careers in digital media, content creation, immersive storytelling, user experience design, and other creative industries, while fostering adaptability and innovation in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
