COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Veterinary Biosciences degree at Aberystwyth University is structured over three years, combining core and optional modules to provide a comprehensive understanding of animal biology and health. In the first year, students study cell biology, genetics, domestic animal anatomy and physiology, disease diagnosis, and develop practical skills, with options in livestock production and microbial diversity. The second year focuses on animal breeding, immunology, veterinary health, and research methods, alongside options in nutrition, exercise physiology, microbiology, and zoology. The final year emphasizes animal behaviour and welfare, veterinary infectious diseases, pharmacology, and a research project, with options including neurobiology, genomics, equine nutrition, international health studies, and livestock production.
